Travel Diary : Three days in Goa

We visited Goa in the last week of February to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. I was so excited already, even before the start of the trip that I had planned my outfits in advance & I had a list of all things I wanted to do with Parag while in Goa. If by now, you are assuming that this was our first trip to Goa, then you are mistaken. This was our 12th trip to this beach side location in the last 7 years and I am this excited every single time 😊 .

We love Goa for its beautiful beaches, good food, bike rides and the Sun. The two beaches we completely love to go back again and again in all our trips are Senquirim and Arambole. Though they have been commercialized since when we first started going there. But never mind, the beaches are still beautiful :) .

We prefer going to Goa in a small group, preferably just us two. With this, we have the liberty to spend the time like we want to and go to places we wish to go. With a larger group, managing preferences becomes difficult and everyone has a different taste. Small and sweet is what we prefer :)  .

Goa from Mumbai by Road takes around 12 hours. The Konkan route is very picturesque and full of natural beauty but is a single lane road. It is also called old Mumbai-Goa highway. The Pune-Kolhapur route is a four lane highway and is a driver’s delight. We prefer taking the later as the highway is smooth and we cross a very beautiful Mountain range on the way called Amboli Ghat.

While In goa, we rent a bike and visit our favorite beaches and our favorite food joints. We love going to eateries that are less crowded and are close to a beach. Rest of the time is spent in the resort, sitting by the pool or in the room balcony, having French fries and listening to music or watching Netflix :) .

Spent mornings in the sea, rented sun beds on the beach, slept off, had lots of French fries and Pina-colada.

Spent afternoons in the resort room, resting and watching TV or sitting in the balcony or just snoozing off :) .

Watched Sunset every single day as that’s the most beautiful time of the day, specially in Goa.
