Anarkali Love

Festivals are around and its time to pull out your favorite Sarees, Suits & Anarkalis. Aren’t we all excited about getting dressed for festivals and clicking lots of pictures. :) . I think we all are.

I love wearing ethnic clothes as  much as I love wearing a distressed denim or an off shoulder top. It’s just that ethnic clothing at times gets difficult to be managed on a petite me 😀 . I have a huge collection of Sarees from my wedding, most of them heavily embroidered & worked with zari & stone that I tend to avoid wearing them. I generally pull out a Chiffon Saree or an A line suit to feel comfortable as well as decked up. I would feel bad for so many beautiful Sarees laying untouched in my wardrobe.

So when the festivals are around, I got two of my favorite Sarees tailored into Anarkalis. This was a net saree with heavy stone work all over it. I always admired its color but would always put it away as it was too delicate for me. I would keep worrying that I would tore it off while walking. So, I decided to get an Anarkali suit made out of it. With this, I could enjoy wearing this beautiful color with a bonus of being able to run around and do my normal stuff. Kept my accessories simple with golden danglers and a bindi :) . Hope you enjoy these pictures. Let me know how you are prepping up for festivals :) . Thanks for reading. Happy festivals guys :) .
